The Oromo and the War on Terror in the Horn of Africa – Opinion – Al Jazeera English.
Thank you Al Jazeera for this informative article. During the previous governments (e.g., Haile Selassie and Derg), the Oromos were prevented from using their language in schools, and there was not even a single print or media that uses the Oromo language. We were treated as second class citizens, which continues to the present day. As Oromos we are marginalized and discriminated against. I’m a bit encouraged that the world is noticing the untold atrocities that is being done to the Oromo people.I believe with all our problem(such as freedom of expression, jail etc..) we can over come it by working with our people in side and out side Ethiopia .
